Consular Legalisation of Irish documents to support Chinese Work Visa Application
Are you an Irish citizen interested in applying for a Chinese work visa? VisaWorld.ie can kindly assist you in legalising your Irish documents at the Chinese Embassy so you can use them to apply for a Chinese work visa afterwards.
The documents that can be legalised
A Chinese work visa requires the legalisation of some important documents:
A Police Certificate from Garda: you can either request this certificate yourself by directly contacting Garda and then provide VisaWorld.ie with it, or VisaWorld.ie can request this certificate from Garda on your behalf. In the latter case, we shall only need you to fill in a short form in order to have all the needed information.
Any official educational document (degree, diploma, qualification and so on).
Legalisation Process in the Chinese Embassy
Once in possession of these documents, we are going to need to get an apostille stamp on them. An apostille stamp is essential for the documents to be properly accepted for legalisation by the Chinese Embassy. VisaWorld.ie will take care of bringing your documents to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to get the apostille stamps.
In the meantime, you shall need to fill in a form required by the Chinese Embassy for the legalisation of documents.
The apostille stamps will be directly affixed on the back of your documents. If, for any reason, you do not wish to get an apostille stamp on your original documents, we can get you a notarised true copy of your documents. The apostille stamps will therefore be directly affixed on the notarised true copies, and your original documents will thus remain untouched.
After getting the apostille stamps, VisaWorld.ie will take care of bringing your documents, alongside the form you have filled, to the Chinese Embassy to get them legalised. The legalisation process takes 5 working days (Friday not included, as the Chinese Embassy is closed on Friday). After 5 working days, VisaWorld.ie will retrieve your legalised documents from the Chinese Embassy.
Collecting your legalised documents
Once we have got your legalised documents, they will be ready for collection. You can either directly collect them in our Dublin office, or we can send them to you anywhere in Ireland or China via DHL postage (shipping fees apply).
Having your Irish documents legalised has never been that easy!
